On the evening of April 18, the 2024 Chongzuo Transnational Reading and Calligraphy Show kicked off. Students, writers, and publishers from China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand gathered in Chongzuo, a border city of Guangxi. They used books as a medium to promote cultural exchanges and people-to-people bonds.

In the evening, Chinese and international guests also presented wonderful stage performances, featuring Chinese literary works Preface to the Poems Collected from the Orchid Pavilion and excerpts from Echo, as well as ASEAN literary works Hanoi’s People, Miscellaneous Jottings on Old-Time Eating, Ode to Sugar Palm, and Song of the Grass.
